I have a 94' Honda Civic manual transmission. My car recently started cutting off while driving after about 1 1/2 miles from my home. It always starts back up after I let it sit about 3-5 minutes. It only seems to happen, regardless of the weather, when I haven't driven it for over 12 hours. So because of this I always have to start it up and let it run for 10-20 minutes before pulling off to ensure it won't cut off. It will also cut off sometimes while I'm waiting to see if it will cut off. I've taken in to 2 places and they both said the same thing. The car needs to be doing the problem before they can assist. They said they put it on a machine and everything looks good to them. One mechanic even drove it home one night and it worked perfectly fine. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi angel_at_heart,

Since it is an intermittent problem, I would suggest checking the PGM-FI main relay as i is known to intermittently fail. Check the circuuit board ans if possible, resolder all the contacts and retest.
