1991 Honda Civic Trouble starting when hot

The car always starts when cold. However, after driving for even short distances, if you shut it off and allow it to sit for more than five minutes, it will not readily start. It just spins over. After cranking numerous times it will sputter to a start. When started it runs fine.

Hi SVXLOVE,

You need to check what is missing causing the problem. At bottom of post there is a " First Things to Check " link. It has detailed procedures on what to check and how to do it.

Quite often the symptoms indicates a faulty PGM-FI main relay.
