Replace valve seals gasket, put oil in and now it will not turn over. Making a squeaking sound.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Did you remove the cylinder head to replace seals or do it using compressed air to hold the valve from dropping? When you say it will not turn over, do you mean the engine won't start or do you mean the starter isn't working?

If the head wasn't removed and the starter is working, I suggest checking engine compression. Something may have not gone back together correctly causing low compression.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-engine-compression

Here are the manufacturer's specs for compression:

Compression [1]
Nominal .................... 1,270 kPa (184 psi)
Minimum .................... 930 kPa (135 psi)
Maximum Variation .................... 200 kPa (28 psi)

[1] At 250 rpm and wide open throttle

If you could, let me know exactly what is happening.

Take care,
Joe

It is turning over but not starting. Sounds like a squeak and not starting.

Was it only the valve cover gasket that was replaced or was it valve seals too?

Also, the noise you hear, can you upload it for me to hear?
