2005 Honda Accord Did I do unnecessecy thing?

Engine Cooling problem
2005 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 57.500 miles

I went to dealership to change Brake and TRansmisson fluid today.I'v been told that is my engine coolant dirty and that have to be changed.I agreeed, but then I came home and looked at manual that sayz to change it on 10 years or 120k miles?So my simple conclusion is that I got robbed here. Am I right here?

Hi there,

I would never leave the coolant in the system for 10 years, I change mine every year and most of my customers get it flushed at least every 2 years, your service center has done the correct thing, if it was never changed since new, they may have saved you a considerable amount of $$$ by doing this now rather than letting it go and you start to get serious corrosion problems, they would have done a Ph test to see if the coolant was still in good condition or not.
