Hi, can anyone tell me why I hear strange noise when my engine running at idle speed, the noise come at interval time like every 3, 4 seconds, when I took it to the garage they say the alternator need replacing, is it right when the alternator need replacing it will make noise?Thanks

Hi emyeuanh1,

If the alternator bearings are bad, it can emit some abnormal noise. Depending on the type of noise, the diagnosis could be correct.

Thanks, it's the alternator, I got it replaced and the noise gone now
