ALTERNATOR
Removal (2.3L)
Ensure you have the anti-theft code for the radio. Write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the positive cable.
Disconnect the 4-pin connector "A" and Black wire "B" from the alternator. See Fig. 15 .
Remove the adjusting bolt "A", locknut "B", and mounting bolt "C". Remove the alternator belt and alternator. See Fig. 16 .

Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Adjust the alternator belt tension or the alternator A/C belt tension. See ALTERNATOR BELT and ALTERNATOR A/C COMPRESSOR BELT under ADJUSTMENT.
Enter the anti-theft code for the radio. Enter the customer's radio station presets. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
