Hello,
Every time I switch gear from P to R or D, I feel a huge slam, it does seem stronger when the car is "cold" (not sure if it is Idle related), and exsact same issue happens at total stop. The car drives smooth, no slipping or shocks at all afterwards.
Would you please tell me what can be the solution? Thank you!

Hi Hichem,

When engine is cold, the idling speed is higher so if the trans is shifted into gear, it could jerk hard if the trans has some fault or the engine mounts are bad.

If it is from the trans, the shift solenoids would have to be checked. Get a free scan done at Autozone to see if any trouble codes are recorded in the PCM.
