2001 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I just got back from a trip and everything was fine but when I got close to home I noticed a grinding sound from the passenger front tire area. It sounds like metal on metal or like I'm dragging something - it's grinding. I havent' heard this before. My brakes are probably due but the noise isn't a familiar noise even with my brakes being close to being changed? I've never heard this before. Any thoughts?

Hi smdsmd,

Get the brakes checked. When the brake pads are almost worn, the pad wear indicator would brush against the rotors and can cause a low or high pitched noise.
