1999 Honda Accord engine dies

My car will shut itself off while I am going down the road. It is like someone turns the ignition switch off and then back on. It doesnt make a sound it just dies. Then when u try to turn it back on the car locks itself in the park position and you cannot move the gear shifter. Help!

Hi gcpunkgurl88,

You might have aproblem with the ignition switch. When it happens, does the dash lights shows or it is just blank?

Are the brake lights working when you are unable to shift the gears?

Check with Honda to see if your vehicle is within the recall list for ignition switch.
