Yes, my car shuts completely off while driving and it's getting worse everyday. I took it to autozone to have it checked because of the check engine light. The results were: EGR valve failure. My question is, will that cause my car to shut down and where is the EGR valve located?

Hi kam000,

No, the EGR should not cause such a problem.

If the dashlights are not showing when engine cuts off, the probable cause is a faulty ignition switch.

There was a recall for this item and you should check with the nearest dealer to enquire if your vehicle is entitled for a replacement.
