Hello,

My combination meter assembly (speedometer, engine rpm, odometer reading, and trip meter, fuel gage, coolant temp ) do not come on when I crank my car. The panel has rest of the lights on (battery light, brake light, drive lights except the d4 light are all glowing ). I went and checked with the honda mechanic and he suggested me to check all the fuses before bringing it to him so that I will reduce the diagnosis time. I am very much concerned about this and I am a regular commuter to work every day. What would be the issue, do I have to replace the panel completely or do I have to check any further before I go and leave my car with the mechanic.
please suggest.

thanks in advance.

Do you mean they do not illuminate when vehicle is running or they do not work at all? If they do not illuminate then it is probably the main bulb that is blown and needs replaced. If the gauges are not reading anything at all then it is either a fuse, faulty wiring at the cluster connector, or something faulty in the circuit board. If the fuse(s) is ok then it may just be in the wiring. If not, the entire assembly will probably need replacing.

Thanks for using 2carpros. Com!
