Hi there. On my 1999 accord ex.I replaced the 02 oxygen sensor (after cat converter) with a new one and the check engine light came on. The code shows bank 1 o2 sensor. How do I fix this problem before I get my emmission test done?Someone suggest I drive the car for up to 150 miles and this will reset the computer and solve the bank 1 o2 sensor problem and the check engine light will go away. Well it didnt.

Hi there,

You will have to manually erase the fault code, you should be able to do this with a scanner,

Ok thank you, i`ll try this but tell me, will erasing the code fix the problem and get my car ready for passing emission if no other problem exsists?Or will erasing the code only do away with the check engine light while the o2 sensor problem still exsist?

Hi there,

Erasing the code will only remove the light, if there still is a problem with the system the code will re set and the light may or may not re set.
