1999 Honda Accord

I had a recall several years ago for the ignition switch since then my car cuts off while driving. The other day I put my car in reverse and it made a grinding sound. I took it to the shop and tried to start it and it made the noise right away. Does this sound like the transmission? Please help!

Sounds like two issues. The recall was done on the ignition switch and has been cutting off randomly since then? Did you talk to Honda about this problem?
