Need help my car A/C fan when I turn it on makes a noise like its hitting on something, when I removed it from the radiator and turn it on there was no noise. When I put it right back there it was again the same noise, I was told it was the fan motor but I would think if it was the motor then the fan wouldnt work at all. Any ideas? Also, when I drive the car and I let go of the gas and car is coming to a stop it make a loud noise, but once I start driving it stop what can that be?

HI there,

can you see any marks on the radiator where the fan may be touching, with it mounted on the radiator can you spin it with out touching anything, as for the other noise, I will need some more information as just a noise is not much to go on, is this noise accosted with breaking at all?

The fan spin good no marks when I put back on the radiator I can still spin it by hand and its not touching the radiator. Also, the car makes a loud noise when I let go of the gas it makes this noise without me pressing on the break. It sounds like its running out of breaks and touching rotor but with out me pressing on the break.I can hear it comes from engine.

HI there,

I feel your noise may have something to do with the A/C drive belt and pulley rather than the fan may be, have you run the A/C with the faun un plugged?
