1997 Honda Accord High pitched humming, worse when accelera

All of a sudden my 97 Honda Accord started making this high pitched humming sound. Not squeaking, or clanky, it sounds almost exactly like what low power-steering fluid sounds like, but I'm pretty sure its not that because it doesnt make any noise when I turn the wheel. It gets worse when I accelerate. It is not running any hotter than normal, the oil is fine, it shifts fine, and I havent used the AC in months. Help?

Hi amberroseshops,

Noises are impossible to diagnose without the physical vehicle.

You would need to locate the source and check the area for possible faults. A rubber hose acting as stethoscope would help in isolating the source.
