My son drove his honda into about 2 feet of water.
The air filter was soaked and the interiorer got some water in it. It would fire the day after but would not stay running. Now it wont hardly fire at all. There was water in the oil and looks like water in the transmission fluid. It seems like a fuel issue since it will fire if I put a little gas in a cylinder. Looking for info. On what could be going on. Thanks

You probably hydro-locked the motor, meaning the engine has to be replaced.

Compression or leakdown test the vehicle.

Thanks for your reply. I have read about hydro lock when cars drive into water. I was just wondering if it was hydro locked, wouldn't it not start regardless of putting gas in a cylinder? A couple of times when we had it running it sounded fine. No knocks or missing. I'm not doubting your response, I just want to make sure something electronic has not shut off the fuel pump or injectors. I have checked the fuel pump fuse and it is fine. Thanks for your help.
