1994 Honda Accord dx hit puddle

I was driving my car in the rain and hit a puddle deep enough to kill car, but only justover ankles when I pushed it out of the water. Now it wont start has been 2 days and all it will do is click fast when I try to start it. Please any suggestion will help immensly, my car is my baby and want to get it up and running again as soon as possible.

I dried everything out and found out the battery was junk. New battery and it tries to start but clunks and gives up half way through turning over. Please any suggestions will be helpful!

How in the world can hitting 8-10 inches of water at 20 mph. Make my honda throw a rod out the front of the engine. Anyone wanna buy a REAL nice looking honda all it needs is a new engine.
