1991 Honda Accord When gas gauge gets below a half tank the

The car runs great until it gets below a half tank of gas, then it starts to sputter and begins slowing down and eventually completely shuts down. When I wait a few minutes I can start the car and travel a short distance. I have had the fuel pump checked and it is supposedly operating fine.

Hi Danderson1244,

The fuel pump should be ok since it works well when it is more than 1/2 a tamk.

I would suggest checking the fuel pump filter suction area inside the fuel tank for cracks/leaks.
