First, I realize asking any question about the transmission on a car w/this many miles may be ludacris. I would like to have opted for a new vehicle but my wife's fear of another monthly payment steered me in the direction of repair instead.

She was driving our car home from work and noticed the clutch pedal was loose. She was able to shift but said it was hard to put into gear.

The clutch was completely replaced about 2.5 yrs. Ago. Either the master or slave cylinder had to be replaced again about 1.5 yrs. Ago (all of the hydraulic fluid leaked out while we were on vacation for a week and it sat idle.).

About 4-5 months ago I was changing the engine oil and decided to change the manual transmission oil since it had so many miles on it. I realize after searching your site that I probably didn't need to do that, though.

Could the manual trans oil being low cause this or would it be something else w/the clutch assembly?

Thanks and your website is awesome! I've added it to my favorites,

Jake

Hi jihughes79 and TY for the donation

She was driving our car home from work and noticed the clutch pedal was loose. She was able to shift but said it was hard to put into gear. If you meant there's no pressure-check the fluid level if okay try bleeding it-don't work could be an internal leak in the clutch master cylinder if it continues time to check the clutch assembly
