a green light with a (S) on it came on last night on won't go off. It is on the right side of the dash below the Temp gauge. What does it mean.

Hi vlglass,

That is the Sports mode indicator. If it is not blinking, you have accidently activated it via the small button at the gear shift.

If it is blinking, then there is something wrong with the electrical circuits of the trans.

In this mode, the gear shifting time is delayed.
