I purchased a 1990 honda accord lx the other day and I noticed that between the fuel line running from the gas tank to the engine attached to the firewall looks to be maybe a filter or solenoid of some sort that is missing. First, what is this part and is there a replacement part for it?

If it hung on the firewall and was connected to the fuel line it had to have been the filter. Available at most auto parts stores.
