1990 Honda Accord Auto question

When in neutral or not applying the gas pedal. The RPM's continually go up 10,000 and back down. Do you have any ideal what might fix this problem?

Hi riehl,

This is known as surging and most probably there is a vacumn leakage or a fault in the Electronic Air Control Valve ( EACV ) also known as the Idle Air Control ( IAC )valve.
