2005 Honda Accord EX V6 5,800 miles.
I bought a new Honda Accord EX V6 in 2005 and it ran very smooth when ever I bought it. A week later we had to make a trip and put 1,000 new miles on it. It was shortly after this that I noticed that the car was not smooth any more and it had a grinding, vibration when ever I pressed my foot on the gas pedal. Took it into Honda and they said it was because of too much air pressure in the tires, but that didn't fix it. They said not to worry about it since it was under warranty. Please help. I feel like something is terribly wrong and I don't want to make it worse.

I am going to be simple on this one. This is a warranty issue and you have a valid claim. Without a little more info I doubt I will be able to give you a definative answer. I would either talk to the service manager at the dealer and demand a good concrete solution or take it to another dealership. I know this could be miles to go but you deserve answers on what I think is a problem as well.

One suggestion to consider. Does this only happen when the car is on automatic climate control?

I turn off the ac and the radio and keep the windows up to see how much vibration I can actually feel or if is just my imagination like the Honda guys act like. The vibration is still there. I don't really think the ac has anything to do with it, but I don't know. It's been going on for a year now and sometimes I feel like I'm driving on the rims of the tires. I just wish it was as smooth a ride as when I first drove it.

Did I miss something or did you just say that it is the ride and not the way it idles. I have assumed, and probably very incorrectly, that the car seemed to idle rougher and vibrate. It is vibrating when it moves?

Yes it's while I'm driving. I can feel it when I go from 1st into 2nd and then 2nd into 3rd and 3rd into 4th. It has gotten louder and I can now feel it in the floorboard right beneath my feet. It feels like the rumbling feeling is coming from underneath the car right beneath my feet under the floorboard. Do V6 engines start to do this after a week? It was quiet and smooth when I first bought it. That is why I liked it more than the 4 cylinder. The 4 cylinder was loud and not smooth at all. I don't know if this can be fixed or the people at Honda would have found it.
