Will not start, lights radio comes on stays on after replacing the battery

Got new battery truck will not start, lights radio comes on stays on after I take out the key. I have to disconnect the battery for stuff to go off. What is the problem I need someone in Detroit to help?

Try a security system reset. Newer vehicles can be a pain about having the battery disconnected.

Some day's when I get fed up with them I go visit the local salvage yard and help them run the crusher.
