Background: The van has been struggling for a bit with taking a few tries to get it started. Recently it began periodically shutting off but would start right back up.

Fuel pump I can hear coming on no problem. Also determined the fuel line is pushing a steady stream to whatever is in the picture. I was thinking it was an ignition coil and that might be the next issue but when I look at a replacement they look nothing like this.

Thoughts?

Good evening,

Is fuel coming out of the vacuum line you have removed? if there is, that is the issue and replace it. it is flooding the engine

If it is not, then hook it back up and you will need to check the actual fuel pressure. there should be a Schraeder valve on the fuel rail for testing.

Thank you for your prompt response. Fuel is not coming out of the vacuum line. I haven't been able to locate a Schraeder valve on the fuel line. Any advice?

Okay, I attached a picture of the rail. The access should be on the same side as the fuel pressure regulator. It should be towards the front of the motor.

If it is not, then you will need to check the pressure at the fuel filter. If you rent a test kit at a parts store, you will need to T into the line at the fuel filter to check the pressure.
