1st: Starting vehicle---- when you crank over starts semi-instantly but will proceed to make that CRANKING nose for few seconds and then stop, or I have to turn off and turn it over again to get it to stop?

2nd: Sometimes when once van is started the RPM idles at 2000rpms and doesn't drop down. When this happens if I shift into reverse or drive it will automatically accelerate and go pretty fast without me ever touching the gas pedal.

****normally when I start van it idles at 1200rpms and once it warms up it drops down to 700-800 RPMs and when shifted into gear does not go fast on it's own.

~~~~Now sometimes when i'm driving I'll notice my RPMS run around 2000RPM while driving through town and at some times I will remove my foot from gas pedal and it will continue to accelerate or maintain current speed with out me touching the gas pedal?
*~*~* Sometimes when i'm driving you will feel the van Accelerate and speed up As if it was in Cruise Control. I don't use my cruise control and this happens both freeway and around town. And at times I can get it to STOP by FIRMLY breaking and coming to a complete stop and sometimes my RPMS will finally go back down to normal idle. And some times When I Break firmly to get it to stop its funky business, I will come to a complete stop and it will still be at 2000rpms as if I were still driving and If I shift into Nuetral they go up to 3500RPMS and i'll turn ignition off and restart it and It Goes back to Normal.
3rd: I can here a high pitched faint WHISTLING noise when I Accelerate, even if I barely push gas pedal down a little it will WHISTLE.
and Finally 4th: I checked the throttle cable under the hood, and it doesn't have the resistance my cruise control cable does and has a lot of slack, and the plastic piece that Mounts and holds cable in place is broke, but it's just PLATIC and Ive never seen that before, My Acura had Nuts that you could tighten to adjust the cable and this van from best of my knowledge aren't adjustable.
First have an assistant press gas pedal with engine off to see if cable is broken the plastic may be broken letting the cable not move correctly. Then try cleaning throttle plate with choke cleaner on both sides as it may be sticking and causing your high idle as well as surging. Clean idle air hole as well.
OK is there a place I can find a diagram of the things you want me to check? And when I watch the cable when they press on the gas it moves and retracts with no catches but its visibly loose compared to the cable next to it for my cruise control?
Follow this post you don't need to remove the throttle bore . throttle cable and cruise is no relation on how tight they are see if the plastic is moving off the bracket when pushed down see this posting it's on our web site or click on it.
