There's hot air coming through my vents even when the air conditioner or heat is not on. And the car is not running hot.

More then likely this is the blend door is not moving but we need to test this.

I attached below how to test it and then the location to replace it as well.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

This makes the most sense if you have auto temp control but let me know if you have manual temperature control and we can adjust as needed. Thanks

I've already changed the blend door. Or the actuator I believe it's called. I have manual temperature controls. And as I said in the question, everything is off but I'm still getting hot air coming through my vents. The temperature control can be on cool air and still hot air blows out. And thank you very much for responding to my question.

I missed that part. Sorry. So to clarify that a little more, is the blower motor still on even when you have it shut off or you can just feel the air coming through? Also, can you feel the air when sitting still or do you have to be moving?

I assume the blower is not still running meaning it is operating correctly, and you cannot feel this unless the car is running. If this is the case then the issue is the air door is not sealing and allow the air pressure to push it over the heater core and come into the vehicle.

Try moving the door position to the feet, vent, defrost and see if you can feel the air in each position.

Thank you I'll try that. Just to clarify more, I feel the heat from the vents and the floor when I'm driving. The dial can be in the cool position or the hot position. But it'll be off but I still feel Heat. If I turn the air conditioner on I get no cool air at all. Again I thank you for trying to help me.

Okay. That helps. Do you feel it at all when you are sitting still or do you have to be moving?

If it does not happen when you are sitting still then I suspect you have a sealing issue with the doors in the housing.

Also, when you say you get no cool air when the A/C is on, is this a new issue or did it start the same time as this air issue?

If there is no /AC then we need to find out if there is a blend door issue or an A/C issue. So let's check the pressure of the A/C system and go from there.

If the pressures are correct then we can look into a blend door issue and that may solve both issues. Thanks
