When the heat is on it blows cold, when the AC is on during the summer it blows hot. What could this be? What part will I need to replace?

Good afternoon.

When you command hot and cold and back again, can you hear the mode door in the dash moving back and forth?

When you turn on the AC, does the compressor come on?

Lets start with basics.

Yes I can hear it moving back and forth. I am not sure how to tell if the compressor is coming on.

Look at the front of the compressor. When the AC is activated, it will be turning. That is called the clutch.

Let me know.

Once we know that then we can continue as to possible issues.
