Yes I was driving yesterday and I turned on the A/C. I was stopped at the stop light and looked at the temp gauge it was running way to hot. I turned off the A/C and the truck cooled down. What is wrong with it

Check the coolant level in the radiator/also make sure both of the cooling fans are on when AC is on. Could be a coolant temperature sensor, engine temperature sending unit and relay problem.
