I recently changed fluid, filter, and seal. After doing so, now the truck will not shift. I am having to shift it manually from 2nd to drive. Is there a speed sensor in the transmission? When I was changing everything, I found a small part but the speed sensors I've found online do not look like the one I found.

Hello,

Please upload a picture of the part that you found. This can help us determine what might be the issue.

It is possible to have a disconnected shift solenoid, or something got bumped in the valve body.

Take a look at this guide, it covers the typical reasons:

You might have to remove the pan to verify everything is connected on the shift solenoid. You could have a disconnected wire.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
