Transmission problem
1996 GMC Sierra 6 cyl Automatic 107000 miles

I recently started having problems with my truck stalling when it should be shifting gears, now my truck won't go above 20 mph even with the pedal to the floor. What could be the problem?

Is the check engine light on? Have you checked fuel pressure?

First talke the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. If the light is on, there will be a code that should direct us to the problem. If you have not luck with that, then move to fuel pressure.
