Heater problem
1996 GMC Safari 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

the motor was not responding to speed increase switch
I replaced HVAC Control modual
the motor responded to the switch for a very short period of time, (1>2 days) and then went back to operating in low.

QUESTION: What could be the problem, How can I test for it, and how can I fix it?

Hi, yellow wire from hvac to resistor assembly is low speed. Next speed is tan wire. Next, lite blue. Take connector loose from resistor assembly, check that you have voltage, use testlite, the appropriate wire for appropriate speed. The orange wire is for high speed, there is a relay for high speed, the orange wire is voltage to coil side of relay, Once the relay is energized, you only have continuity for high speed, red wire is voltage for load side of relay.
