How to change the front wheel bearing on a 2500 hd 4 wheel drive

Hello,

Changing the front Hub Assembly on your vehicle should be pretty easy. It is a bolt on assembly. Just take the front wheel off remove the brake caliper assembly and brake rotor. Then remove the center Nut holding the CV Axle in place. Then from the back side there are three or four bolts holding the hub assembly on. Also disconnect the ABS Sensor. Using a pry bar you should be able to work the hub out.

Here is a diagram....In the diagram you will be working with numbers 1-5 and 9 & 10 which are the bolts....

One other question does the center cap just pry off

I believe they are held on by screws from the back side. You should be able to remove the wheel without removing the cap.

Oh by the way the the dust cover does just pry off, but I destroyed it trying to get it off & it is a dealer item 9 dollars & change. Thanks
