Engine Mechanical problem
1999 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120k miles

I'm having a problem starting in the morning and on cold starts. I've replaced fuel pressure regulator. I've Checked all hoses, fuel pump. Looking at my fuel pressure gauge its showing 60 psi when I turn the key on and engine off. As I crank it slowly goes down to 54 psi. It fires every-time I spray ether and will then run the rest of the day with no hitches. I've replaced all spark plugs and wires as well. If I don't use ether it just cranks and turns over a bunch. Sometimes it will start. I've been to multiple mechanics and have reached no solution. Hopefully somebody can help. Thanks in advance.

My pcv valve is making a ton of noises. I've replaced it and is still pretty loud. I can hear it buzzing in the cab. Don't know if that's of any importance.

Thanks again

Since your fuel pressure is good, replacing the vibration dampner should solve the hard starting problem. It is located on top of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.

The loud PCV valve is probably caused by slightly leaking intake valves. You can have a valve job done to quiet them.
