ONCE I START THE TRUCK WITH STARTING FLUID SPRAYED INTO THE INTAKE IT SEEMS TO RUN FINE. IT WILL RESTART AFTER 5-10 MINUTES OF SITTING BUT NOT AFTER AN HOUR. WHAT CAN I DO

What type of fuel system do you have? TBI/MPFI/CPI Spider Vortec -sounds like the fuel pressure is too low-should read 60-66psi

I KNOW IT IS NOT A TBI NOT SURE MPFI OR CPI SPIDER IT IS A VORTEC ENGINE I ALSO CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER IF THE PRESSURE IS TOO LOW WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS OR WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO FIX THIS.

Double check the fuel pressure if it continues to go low -replace the fuel pump after you checked the pressure regulator for leakage
