1996 GMC Jimmy car not working

My tuck was starting but it made a screeching sound when it started so I went to the store and cut it off but when I came out to start it again it acted like it was about to start then it just made a loud vacum or fan out and it wouldn't start what should I do

It's going to be hard to make a good suggestion for you based on what you've provided so far.

Maybe have someone sit inside & try to start it while you're under the hood. Try to identify where the sound is coming from. And I know this is tough, but try to describe in a little better detail what you're hearing. You are our eyes & hands, so the better information you can provide, the better chance we can help.
