1996 GMC Jimmy To start and not start

Okay it has be several months since I had the fuel pump replaced and it has since ran great however a couple of days a go when I went to start her nothing happend not a click or turn over sound. All the electrical stuff like the automatic windows worked the radio worked, lights etc. I tried to start her again and nothing no sound at all no click no struggleing to turn over. I waited about 5 minutes and tried again and she started. It has done this a few times since. I am worried about being left stranded any ideas about what this could be?

Could be a bad starter/solenoid. Check for 12 volts at the small wire on the starter with key in crank position. If it has power then the starter needs to be replaced. If none, then get back to me and we will figure out where it stops. Also if you have any aftermarket alarms, I suggest removing them
