I have a 1992 GMC Sierra 1500 truck. 5.7 liter or also known as the 350. With 140,000 miles. No problems starting this morning, no hesitation to work, Nothing! Truck was parked and after work truck turned over easily but never fired.I opened the hood and check the carburator for fuel and yes it was getting fuel.I kept air filter cover off and tried to start it again but nothing. I checked all wires and coil wire everything is in it's place. Kept trying to Start truck up for about 15 minutes. What do you think?
Distributor, cap? Rotor? Thats all I could think of.
Help

If this is the old style distributor, check the pick up coil (eight star looking device) that connects to the HEI module.
You should see a low resistance with a multi-meter.
It is not uncommon for them to go bad.
Either that or it the ignition module (mounted under the dist. Cap) or the coil.

Good Luck
