Are we talking about raw gas fumes like unburned gas? Or exhaust fumes? Also, what is the exact code numbers not code descriptions you have?

Wow, that is a lot of codes do you really have a 268,000 miles on your car? Also, is the smell exhaust fumes or raw unburned gasoline fumes? Also, when was the last time the spark plugs were changed?

So you do have 268,000 miles on your car? Also, if you have never changed the spark plugs I would start by doing that use the original equipment type of plug to try to take care of the code p0300 random miss fire and the p0305 cylinder five misfire. How does the engine run smooth? Also, how does it shift smooth? Usually the p1811 long term shift adaptives set to default code is set by a faulty line pressure solenoid in the transmission valve body and you will get a hard shift until you turn the car off and on then it will shift normal until it acts up again. Do you smell the fumes in the front of the car back of the car middle of the car? Can smell the fumes with the car not running?

I would use a flashlight and check the fuel injectors for leakage. This is the most common please gas will leak from.

Here is guide to help change them if you find a leak. It will give you an idea of what you are in for when doing the job.

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

If you can smell it with the engine off it sounds like it is raw fuel/gasoline. There is no easy answer you just going to have to look for a gas leak in the front area of the car if that is where your smelling it.

Turns out I believe it to be the vacuum harness that comes from the fuel pressure regulator it is disconnected somehow in one spot and leaking fuel, but have no idea where it all connects.

Can you please post some pictures of what your seeing? If there is a vacuum hose going to the fuel pressure regulator and the nipple the vacuum hose goes on is leaking fuel then you have a bad fuel pressure regulator.
