When I bought my car the gas gauge and speedometer didn’t work but when you drive it then it moves, but isn’t working. What would the pricing of getting that fixed be? Would it be cheaper at home or at a car shop?

This could be a couple things but if they are related then it is most likely one of two things.

First it could the cluster itself as it has a circuit board that could have failed.

Second, it could be the bus networking messages are not getting to the cluster properly.

We need to start with checking for codes to find out if there are any which will point us in the right direction. Here is a guide that will help with this:

If there are no codes then I would think the cluster is the issue and I would replace that.

I attached the process below on how to do that. Let us know if you have questions. Thanks
