We were driving and all of a sudden we lost acceleration it sounded like a hose started to leak like a vacuum hose. Now it hardly starts when it does it sounds terrible it chugs then dies. We checked the gaskets and the intake the gaskets were not sealed and there was gravel inside the intake one of the injectors was also leaking put new gaskets on those. We have been told it could be a few different things like possibly the timing belt or fuel filter. Please need some much needed advice. The car has 192,712 miles on it not just 192 by the way.

Timing belt is recommended replacement at 105,000 at most so scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge. auto parts rent it. it can be either of the things mentioned so far. also check for vacuum leaks. like hoses broken/off, etc. see link
