Changed my fuel pump. Everything seems fine. Truck starts, runs well.
Went to fill up gas tank and gas backs up/spills out of fill spout after about a 1/2 gal in dispensed.
The tank is basically empty.
Changed service station and same thing happened.
Checked for any pinched hoses, none.
checked fill spout for obstruction, none.
while changing the fuel filter, also changed the ventilation tube. It is connected.
What could be causing the full back up out of my fill spout?

Hi,

For fuel to enter the tank, air has to escape. Otherwise, it will do exactly what you described.

When you say ventilation tube, which are you referring to?

Take a look at the picture below. I highlighted the two ways air escapes the tank when you add fuel. Confirm neither are blocked. Also, confirm which tube was replaced. Copy my pic and circle the tube.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
