Four wheel drive

It will not kick out of four wheel drive, the floor shifter will not move. Any idea what is wrong? (4.3l v6 Vortec)

Try backing up if front and rear gear ratios are different it torque the tcase and will not move out of what ever gear you have it in. Then check fluid level and scan for codes as it may be an encoder motor on tcase.
