1996 Chevy Blazer 4 wd

I need to know how to manually disengage the 4wd in my Blazer. I am stuck in 4 HI. I have tried the battery trick. No good. I have pulled apart the push button control and fiddled with that with no luck. Where is my 4WD vacuum hose and f I disconnect that will everything else work ok?

Your vac hose is located under the battery tray hope this helps u out
