2002 Ford Windstar exterior reverse lights stay on after car is off. Checked fuses & replaced them but lights still stay on. Had to remove blub so battery would not drain. What could be my problem.

Don't know much about your rig

Researched some--found this, could it be out of adjustment or just plain broke?

Presently, just had my "Cyber Box" swapped into a faster Box, I think I need to download some stuff to make "Mitchell 1" work again (on-line repair and diagrams) ......I would have found it's location for you....but I cannot, at the present.

Best guess:

On the tranny or on linkage to the tranny

Let me know that it just "slid" out of calibration, all you had to do was put it back in the original location, and tightened some bolts!

Hope it's that EZ!!!

My reverse lights seem to be coming on while I am driving forward. They are also staying on while the car is turned off, for about an hour or so then shut off. I'm hoping it is something I can fix myself.

Seems as though your digital transmission range sensor (DTR) may be failing. It is located on top of the transaxle.

My reverse back up lights stay on, with my 2001 Ford Winstar, even when the car is in drive or park. I tried replacing the neutral safety switch but it didnt help. I do not have any hitch wiring. Thanks for any help.

Looks like the signal comes from both the rear electronics module and the Parking Assist Control Module. I would start my trouble shooting there.
