1992 Ford Tempo Two Wheel Drive Automatic 125000 miles

I have a 92 Ford Tempo that recently had overheating problems. I got a used radiator to put in it, but it sat for a few months. Now when I try to drive it it starts and when I put it in drive it dies. What is that?

Check your ignition parts for clean corrosion free connections. Your coil wire is most important. Check it's ends internally for corrosion. Then check spark for how big of a gap it will jump while cranking. Should be fat and blue/orange and about 1/2" or more. Be sure you know how to safely check spark as the jolt can be deadly in rare cases.
