Hi, I have a 2000 Ford Taurus with 71,000 miles it is making a whining noice when you accerlerate then when you get to 45mph it runs fine. Maybe just a little whin then when you slow down again the whining gets louder again. I had the alternator replaced though that did not help. And no know know whats wrong with it and it's driving me crazy please help!

Possibly a serpentine belt problem. Check the belt it's tensioner plus all pulleys. Take the belt off and spin them by hand.
