1999 Ford Taurus stalls

1999 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

car starts fine, idles fine, when it be driven for 1/2 hr. All of a sudden it dies and won't start, hour or two later, try to start. Starts right up. Idles fine. It may run a week, maybe two, maybe turn right around a hour later and dies again and won't start. No check engine light ever comes on
