This just started lastnight my wife was driving to work she had called me and said the car was starting to lose speed and the car just shut off at a light so she tried to start it and it wouldnt start right away after a wile she got the car to start I told get the car home and she made it home.I woke up today put new spark plugs and wires in that didnt work so just put my foot on the gas and it starts up after a few seconds so my question is why would I have to put my foot on the gas to get it to start up?What it could be?

Hello,

One possible cause is a failed TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).

When you turn the key to the on position does the engine light come on and stay on? If so will need to get codes read.

Also ho did it run when you got the car started?
