My car has the PATS security system. When I try to start the car and the theft light flashes rapidly the engine will not fire. If the light does not flash rapidly the engine cranks up instantly. When it does start I'm getting a cylinder misfire code and have gotten a EGR valve code. From what I've read the problem points to a PCM problem. Does this seem feasible to anyone? If not, any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Misfiring it may be due for a tune up and you should check that
check wires and coil too
security system you need to investigate the reason so you ll be able to fix the problem
so it need to be checked
for EGR code check the DF sensor
